Update on my new scraproom....

So this is the current state of my new Scraproom. All of the cabinets are from Ikea and these are from the Varde collection. I am hoping to add 2 more pieces to my current collection. I want to round the corner on the left with another 12 drawer piece and get a 4 drawer piece for my Island/ Workstation. As you can see I have more painting to do, I didn't realize how big the cabinets were even though we laid it all out, but the bigger the better LOL. I also will be sewing a curtain for the window, I picked out a beautiful Damask fabric. Thanks for stopping by :)

I got a little mojo in between putting cabinets together for my new scraproom and made this Organizer to hold my bills. I used the Graphic 45 Communique paper and also their metal flowers. The knob and feet are from Tim Holtz. The flowers are Wild Orchid crafts and I added some feathers and gold leaves for some pizzaz. Thanks for stopping by!!

Just a quick update, I have been cleaning and organizing and am in the midst of fixing and painting my new Scraproom which will be in the bigger area of my basement. Besides healing from my health issues that I have had in the month of December and also losing my mojo, I am hoping the new room will be a pick me up. I will keep you all posted with pictures soon. This is a wooden plaque that I found in the Michael's clearance rack. I used Martha Stewart's glow in the dark glitter, behind the house and on the frame, hence the dark picture :). The cuts are from my trusty Cricut and the cartridge I used was Happy Hauntings. I made the moon with my circle punch and the little owl in the tree, is what's left from a pair of Julia's earrings.Thanks for stopping by.

I added this great little addition to my scraproom for storage. The original piece that was there was too small, so I picked this up at Ikea after my friend Teresa showed her's on her blog. As you can see I store my vinyl on top and under the vinyl are my cricut mats and my 12x24 paper. In the drawers I store my solid scraps and my printed scraps in separate drawers and they are easier to find. I also store my paints in another drawer, my chipboard scraps, pre-made mini chipboard albums and some of my flowers are in other drawers.I really love this piece and plan on adding more of these alex drawers.

New Home Card

This is a card I made for a friend of mine who just moved into a new home. On this card I used stamps from Papertrey Ink: Boards and Beams collection. The grass at the bottom was made from an icicle Christmas punch that I turned upside down to use as grass. I used copics to color in the house and tree and the cloud paper is a Stampin Up paper called "Welcome Neighbor".

I might be a little Banner obsessed...LOL, what can I say, I love them :)This one is for the fireplace mantle, I used the "Life is a Beach" Cricut cartridge. I also used glossy accents around the blue frame and on the beach ball. I used stickles on the flip flop and some bling. To tie it all together I used twine and hemp rope that I recycled from the burlap bag mini that I am working on.

I made this using my Nestabilities banner dies, I also used my Cricut to cut out the letters. The ribbon on the top is ruffled up seambinding that I gathered on top of score tape. This is my smash book from K & Company and I totally love this concept!! I am always collecting little memento's and stuff, so now I will smash them! I stamped a few of my favorite images on the cover and then embossed them in white so that they would stand out, I then used my glimmer mist on it, in shades of blue.I used stickles to add some sparkle, and I added ribbon on the side with a cute heart pendant that I had in my stash.I added some pics of my first few pages, I love that it's so random:)

I have been pretty busy preparing for my Girl Scout troop's bridging which is coming up next month. I made this banner for their bridging ceremony.I used "Hello Kitty Font" cartridge for the letters. The banner pendant resembles their tab that they wear on their vests. I am also working on mini albums for each girl in my troop (15) to preserve the memories of the last 3 years of them being brownies. I will post those when I'm done...send me some scrappy vibes :)

The front is decorated with a frame and a butterfly in the center, both from Michael's, the frame was painted and crackled. This is still a work in process,I got this book box at Michael's and I am also making a matching album to go inside the book. I used the Graphic 45 "Once upon a Springtime" collection. This paper is so gorgeous, it was so hard for me to cut it. I also used wild orchild and recollection flowers on the corners. I used Viva pens,stickles and sparkle modpodge(love that stuff).

This mini has 5 pages and each one has lace around the edges. I found this bingo car in my stash and it was perfect because it has a 50 on it and my friend is celebating her 50th birthday. I also used a Tim Holtz glass and to accentuate the 50.

Fairy in a Bottle. . .

I have always had a love for fairy's, so when I saw cynthialoowho and artedar make this,I knew I had to make one of many for myself. This one is a picture of my daughter Julia dressed up as Tinkerbell for halloween one year. I cut the picture out and used twigs to get it into the bottle. The bottom of the bottle has moss(found at michael's) and some tiny flowers and a leaf from Wild Orchid crafts. I used Tim Holtz's ribbon flowers at the bottom of the bottle, that I sprayed with Glimmer Mist. The button on top is also Tim Holtz and I added stickles in the center.I also added a little vile of fairy dust. Links below :)

Altered Photo Cube

This was inspired by nursetara04 on Youtube. I picked up my cube at acmoore and painted it black and I used Tim Holtz crackle paint and silver rub and buff. I also used the flowers from recollections, butterflies are from K and company and of course some bling. The little tickets are tim holtz and I used glimmer mist in Graphite and silver to distress them.This photo cube was made in memory of my Dad who has passed. Click on the picture to enlarge.

This was such a fun project to make!! It's a mailbox that I made for my daughter's teacher and her classmates. I constructed it all from chipboard and it is 12inches in height and 9 in depth, there should be plenty of room for valentine's day cards for all the students to exchange. For the closure I used a glass Tim Holtz knob, key hole with brads(with elastic cording) and bracket in the back . I used K and Company paper and Martha Stewart punch and some lace. I also used the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge nd my Cricut for the " Happy Valentine's Day" sign on the front of the mailbox. You can click on the pictures to enlarge.

Cream Puffs!!!!

I made this for my mantle for Valentine's Day. I used my cricut, of course! I also used the cartridges, Storybook and Birthday Bash for the Banner. I embossed the ovals with the love hearts folder. I used lace around the ovals and the little hearts are from recollections. I tied them all together with toole.

This is a paperbag mini album that was inspired by my daughter's and I recent camping trip. We had a great time. I made the album cover with chipboard and lots of scoretape. On the outside and inside cover I used the Martha Stewart winter wonderland paper pad , and on the inside pages I used Echo Park wintertime paper. 7 Gypsies Painter's Tray

This tray was originally black and I painted it off white. I used Graphic 45 Christmas Past Paper and a few older adorable pictures of my children. I also used stickles, some christmas chipboard pieces, a prima flower and I made the little bow myself. I also used glimmer mist (apple) on the bow and flower. This was a fun project to make and a great way to display those adorable pictures :)

Birthday Card

In the mist of painting my house(myself), basketball, girl scouts, report cards,choir and a ton of meetings . I only had time to make this card. I really miss crafting but I have been so crazy busy that I haven't had time. We are getting our floors sanded this weekend so we only have access to the basement and kitchen hopefully I will be able to catch up on some scrapping projects that I want to accomplish. Altered Box and Mini Album

I saw this on youtube made by mybutterflykisses12 and was inspired to make my own. I used Tim Holtz paper and the flowers are paper flowers that I found in the bridal section of AC Moore, that I spray with my tattered angels . The mini album has small paper bag pockets with tags.
